Why Does Hillary Avoid Answering The Question If She Will Garnish Wages For Her Health Plan?
By
Question: On a CBS Radio this morning (Sunday Feb 10, 2008) The interviewer asked her 3 times, if she would garnish wages of workers who refused to participate in her health plan. She kept talking about how this health plan was for everybody, and everybody will participate. She was asked again, and still did not give an answer. Why won’t she be honest about this?

because she knows the truth will sway the voters away from her

Well its Clinton fashion. I think she might have said it before but backed away. She knows if she talks about it, her chances are gone.

If you were going to garnish voter’s wages, would you want them to know before the election? The best idea is to vote against UHC.

because she doesn’t have an answer.

Because she’s half a step away from a Communist and she will increase our taxes to help fund the plan. She can’t answer the question because anytime a candidate promises to raise taxes during their campaign the get beat down handily in the elections.
I believe Walter Mondale was the only candidate foolish enough to say he’d raise taxes, and he lost to Ronald Reagan in the biggest political landslide in the history of the presidential elections. I believe Mondale didn’t even win his home state and he only got the majority in four states.

She never said that. Some right wing talk show guy said she said that…..but he slipped in the word ‘garnish’ when the entire project has to do with withholding as now. The talk show guy’s name is Lavine. what he said was, “…this amounts to garnishing a workers wages.” Way different, eh? Also, since you’re paying for Universal Health Insurance now wouldn’t it be nice to know that all of the folks now getting the service will be paying in something as well? Let’s discuss what was really suggested, not propaganda from guys that get paid to spread propaganda!

Because if she tells people what she really thinks she wouldn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected. Typical Clinton style, lie, mislead and dance around substance..”I’m going to deliver change” HA The only change hillary Clinton wants is the change in your pocket……

Hillary doesn’t want to answer the question because the answer is that her health care plan will be mandetory and universal. Her plan is a completely nationalized socialist health care system like in Canada and Europe. Of course she will tell you that she will tax the rich to pay for it but as usual the middle class will foot the bill. The average working citizens, trying to pay off their house, save for retirement, or put their kids through college will find the increasing tax burder will make it impossible to achive all three.

Cuz she always avoids the questions. She’s just not an honest person.
October 15th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
She already said that was the plan.
Clearly, she can spend your money better than you can.

Two things to remember, politicians never reveal the facts of any plan they have while running, None will ever tell you that your taxes will go up, because nothing is free, someone has to pay for it.

how many pay social security and taxes they don’t want to pay.. garnish away… same thing…

Because the only positive aspect of her plan is that it guarantees coverage for everybody. It does nothing to address cost, places an enormous burden on employers, and harshly penalizes those who don’t want any part of her plan. Frankly I’d be shocked if the plan made it through Congress without a Democrat supermajority.

“everybody” will participate sounds like an answer to me! Which part of that do you suppose the so-educated medis can’t understand? Which part don’t you understand? Which part is dishonest? “Everyone will participate” = everyone will pay. Duh.

I think that since she takes money from the HMO lobbyists, that the insurance coverage being required by law is going to drive these profits through the roof. Of course, since coverage is mandatory, it will have to be a payroll deduction. If she says this: how can she win?

hillary is playing the same old washington ways, she is telling the american people what she thinks they want to here.it is a mere sales pitch, same old political tricks.Obama is the only real candidate with a vision.
October 16th, 2009 at 3:10 am
She doesn’t want us to know that it will really garnish our wages.
She’s full of dark secrets. Don’t vote for her.
This answer got me to level 6!
YABBA DABBA DOO!
October 16th, 2009 at 3:30 am
she has not thought of that one. seems like obama has her spinning like a top.
if she doesn’t win in ohio, they say she is toast. dunno.
October 16th, 2009 at 4:17 am
The real answer would not be good for her politically.
October 16th, 2009 at 4:54 am
It’s not in her power to do so.

We do not need universal health care/socialized medicine.
We do need reform in the health insurance industry, but not socialism to that degree.
People need to prioritize what is important to them. This society is so materialistic and are willing to pay hundreds and thousands on unnecessary tangible luxuries, but to pay for prescription drugs and treatment and they cry.

The more I read about Hilary the slimier she is looking,
I think we need new people with fresh ideas, someone who is young enough to think outside the box.
This is why I am voting for Obama.

Why does Obama avoid telling the American people what “change” actually is?
I look at his health care plan and basically it is very similar to waht we have now. That is, you can have insurance if you want to pay for it, but the government is not going to help you negotiate a premium. He is also going to try to get his program passed without bringing the insurance comapnies into the fold for negotiations. The American people can cry all they want, but the fact is that the lobbyist that work for the insurance companies, as well as, the marketers and insurance companies themselves will cut him off at the pass every chance they get. If Obama had stayed out of the drugs in 1992-1994 when Hillary and Bill tried the same approach, he would ahve seen that his plan is not going to work. It sounds good to say to a bunch of voters who can’t, or won’t remember that far back, but the end result will be the same.
It is said that doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Well, if Obama wins the election, I hope his health care plan covers mental illnesses because apparently all of his supporters are going to need it.
Also, I am still waiting for his answer on “change.” The way I have seen him run his campaign has been traditional politics. The votes that I have seen cast in his short stint in Congress has been traditional politics. I remember when the vote for increasing teh budget for the war came around early last year. Instead of standing for change and voting against it because it did not have a troop withdrawal, or better yet, since he is the lord of “change” submitting his own plan for budgeting the war, or ending it completely, or coming up with a strategy to “change” the course of the war, he, instead, tried to slip by unnoticed and voted to approve the bill. That sure is a new way to do things. I can’t wait for that “change.”

She is just showing her character or lack thereof, that is exactly what her plan calls for
October 16th, 2009 at 7:29 am
She’s a politician. Mondale told people he would raise taxes to help reduce the deficit and it cost him.
October 16th, 2009 at 7:35 am
Well if she said that “everybody will participate” it sounds like she answered the question to me…. If she doesn’t garnish wages, we can look forward to higher taxes. The money has to come from somewhere to support it.
October 16th, 2009 at 7:55 am
As opposed to just leaving people uninsured like the Obama “plan” would?
October 16th, 2009 at 8:26 am
I don’t know. I’m pretty sure if it included that it would not be passed in Congress.
October 16th, 2009 at 8:37 am
Because the only wages she’ll be garnishing are the ones that make enough in ORDER to purchase healthcare plans–but refuse to do so.
If you’re making minimum-wage, can you honestly afford to buy healthcare insurance these days?
I know I can’t.
October 16th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Yes right laptop, why do only Obama supporters see this
October 16th, 2009 at 9:56 am
the real question is why does only Obama supporters see this ?
