What percentage of gynecologists think these things?
By
Question: Do you think they ever wanna take a swipe at a woman’s vulva with their tongue? Do they ever think of massaging her clitoris? Do we really believe they don’t have sexual thoughts about their patients SOMETIMES?
Even if they put a cover over the legs/body, they still have to see the pusssy and examine it.
And what do you mean they’ve been taught to disassociate the woman from the pusssy? That’s ridiculous. He’s still a man. His instincts are what they are. Lol.
Mabel B, you’re getting my point. The thought alone makes me wanna become a gynecologist. However, I’m sure they see some pretty gross stuff too.
Why do we make so much of the fact that they’ve seen SO many vulvas/vaginas??? Most heterosexual men have seen LOTS of vulvas/vaginas!! And we can all attest to the fact that they look NO LESS appealing/succulent!!
Thanks, Untamed Rose. I used to be Hannibal the Afar.

They’ve been trained to disassociate the vagina with the patient. That is why they put that cover over the legs/body.

I don’t think so.
a pap is just so uncomfortable, and it’s a really awkward scenario in general…the woman can sometimes experience great pain and MAN you gotta get IN there to get the swab…
so i dont think so.
EDIT- also, i’m pretty sure med school weeds out the men who are doing it for the sexual thrill. gaining that kind of education is just grueling.
EDIT- sigy right, i’m sure some men WOULD get off on that…but then, like i said, med school is a tough process…i doubt you’d be able to get through it if all you wanted was to get off.
that’s why people play nurse…you get the experience, minus the grueling work! win win!

I have often wondered this myself. I take it you are talking about male gynos? Ok, they might have become desensitised to it all, but at the end of the day they are men, and they have got a half naked woman with her legs spread right in front of him, completely at his mercy.
Edit: @siggy artic kitty. I often wonder that too.

Seeing the virgina without the rest of the body really isn’t that much of a turn on for me anyway, Plus they are focused and out to accomplish something

by the time they finish medical school, they see literally hundreds of vaginas, including those of old and/or diseased women. Trust me, it totally kills any sexual feelings they might have had at the beginning.

I used to have a really HOT gynecologist until he moved away. I often wished he’d lock the door and TAKE ME right there on the table. When he performed breast exams, I’m sure my face was red as can be! LOL

Well usually when you go to the gyno it is either because you are having your annual exam, you are having some sort of issue like swelling, itching, excessive bleeding, etc… Not exactly a turn on. Like a friend of mine’s dad who is an obgyn said ” Sure you get nice looking women but you check Aunt Bea too!” LOL I myself work in the medical profession and I can honestly say when you have seen one naked person, you have seen them all.

My parents are friends with this couple who were both gynecologists.. The guy actually quit his job and is now a part-time taxi driver and manages his own business. I guess he wasn’t all that impressed with his vaginas at work if he wanted to quit and now frantically works 2 jobs.

I saw a study about this….it actually kills a straight mans sex drive to be a gyno.
He isnt looking a cute, sweet, “CLEAN” pussy all day….has to deal with all the issues women have normally or can pick up.
Imagine working less then a foot from this… http://medimages.healthopedia.com/large/genital-warts-female.jpg

OK, I’ve wondered and even asked here once why a man would ever want to be a gynaecologist and I know now from this question that Some men really do think like that it’s a turn on.
I doubt that gynaecologists are turned on by seeing their patients because what is sexually arousing depends on the context and pelvic exams are not sexy at all.
but I go to a woman because I’m more comfortable.
Edit; totally agree with Wendy … EEEWWWW!
Looking at this question and the answers by Mabel and Julie, I’m wondering if maybe some male gyns Like the awkwardness and vulnerability that women feel at exams and the sense of power they get. Hmmm..

probably the same amount of women that want to do the doctors. In the air force there was a physiotherpist all the girls in my office went mad for. He dealt with injuries and did massages and stuff like that. I knew about 4 girls that got injured that were looked after by that guy and they never stopped going on about it

This question really upsets me. I had an incredibly traumatic pelvic exam when I was only 13 years old. I think that it would have been even more traumatic and painful if it had been performed by a man. Pelvic exams shouldn’t be joked about or viewed as a means for perverted men to get their jollies. I hope that when you turn 50 and get a colonoscopy the doctor performing it is a raging homosexual. Maybe with your tender anus at his mercy you’ll realize how wrong you were in sexualizing women’s reproductive health.
