What do you look for when seeking a medical MD or GYN?

<> one who will listen to your problems
<> one who can get you into the office on reasonably short
notice, ie doesn’t have too large a practice to manage
<> one who has a caring and attentive staff
<> one who will take the time to talk with you, who will
explain options, and doesn’t believe one size fits all
(accidental speculum joke?) I meant it in the more
general fashion.
<> one who inspires comfort in you, someone that you will
be OK discussing anything with

My advice is to call offices and try to get some “meet the doc and her/his nurses” short appointments. My attitude is that if the office isn’t willing to meet potential new patients to introduce themselves and their practice, then they aren’t personable enough to deserve your trust. Just MHO.
