Please process what you hear before you deicide it’s fact.: A 10 month wait for a maternity ward? Are you implying we all book in a month in advance, have sex at the end of that month and then finally 9 months later the ward is ours? That’s preposterous! There are issues with Canadian healthcare, as with any nations healthcare, but it’s no where the extent to which it’s portrayed by your republicans.
And to which ‘top doc’ are you referring? Medicare is decentralized so I assume a province’s?

Sorry to disappoint, but pretty much everything you said was false, except maybe that a few canadians have gone to the states for healthcare. But not because the states have such wonderfully superior healthcare. Because if one has the money you get to jump the queue.
This head of healthcare in canada who you make claims about. Who may this be. What did he say, and where are you getting this information. Without sources, it carries no weight.

It was the head of healthcare in Canada. And this person said that the Canadian system was crumbling.
And many Canadians do come to America when they have serious problems. And without all the inventions created in the private sector in the US, the Canadians would have nothing to socialize.
Everything else I’ve said is true as well.

I heard of someone who found a 10-month waiting list at a maternity ward in Canada. Is that not a perfect summary of why government-provided healthcare doesn’t work?
The top Doc in Canada recently said their system is crumbling. And many Canadians come to America for healthcare.
The best way to fix US healthcare is to lower costs. The Republicans have ideas for that — but Obama and the Dems are ignoring them.
Medicare is 10s of Trillion in debt, yet Obama wants to expand it.

no its because order is emergent. if order is emergent then it stands to reason that the health care system that has less government involvement will emerge as the h.c. system with the best health care. its that simple. i can name at least 5 because my wife’s uncle is one of the leading urologists in the world. he treated hugo chavez in cleveland last year… in those other civilized countries the people who make the laws come here to get health care. they have created a permanent underclass.

Sure. because money talks in the US. The attitude is the heck with those who don’t have the money, as long as the wealthy get what they want. Not something I would really brag about. And just because a few “heads of State” went to the US (bet you can only name a couple at best ), doesn’t mean that the US system is better, only that it is better for the rich. In these other civilized countries, everyone is treated the same when it comes to health care.
