please help me find a charity that can help donate money for my puppies hip surgery.?
ByQuestion: hi, my name is laura…i am 18 years old, my family does not have much money…we hardly get to live by.
i am the owner of a dog by the name of Mango, this dog is everything i have. Today i came to face the horrible reality that he needs hip surgery (on both hips). He can hardly sit down, and when he does he struggles to get back up. He loves to play, and it breaks my heart to tell him he cant.
please if u or anyone know of a charity or animal services where i can get financial aid for Mango’s surgery, i would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

This would probably depend on where you live, but you can start with the Humane Society of the United States. They have a website that you can go on and you could probably contact them and let them know where you are from and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Best of luck to you and Mango

As an animal lover my self I deeply sympathies with you. The best way you can raise money is to do a few odd jobs. Anything from babysitting to mowing a lawn. Most charities out there for animals ,are for animals without owners, like those in a pound. Your Sweet Mango, even though he needs surgery, is very fortunate to have a loving person like you to look after him and to care so much about him. You could put up fliers telling Mango’s situation and your number, and say what jobs you are willing to do. Just be careful (there are dangerous people out there) You may even ask your local vet if you can clean around the clinic to work of the surgery expense, it would be a good way to spend the summer helping a friend!

There is a credit card you can apply for that is only for vet care. I’m not sure of the name. Also you could look for a vet that will take payments. Sadly they are few and far between.
I don;t think there are any charities or the like to pay for vet bills. I have seen one mentioned before on other threads, but someone said they applied for this a few daya ago and they could not help anyone else.
A very true fact of pet ownership is vet bills. No matter what once you take on the animal you have to put some money by for times like this.
I hope you will find a way to help your dog. Maybe you could get a job and save every cent you make? That way it would not take long to have the money for the surgery. Maybe in the meantime you could just get him some painkillers?
I’ll be praying for Mango.

You can check with your colleges in your area and sometimes they have programs with vets in training and it is half of the cost. I know MIchigan state has one of these programs. It is where students perform the procedures with the professors looking on.
Best of Luck to you!!

You will need to check that your vet accepts CareCredit.
