You’re right, the soundtrack is terrible, sorry. A voice soundtrack with a clear explanation results a little bit difficult to understand even for specialists, so, the better way could be to create titles in every crucial manouver.I’ve been started to to this in last videos. Thanks for the suggestion.

this video needs a voice over explaining what’s being done, not dramatic music making it sound like some sort of horrific eperience.

Yes. it can, but the women/men ratio is 1 to 10, for inguinal hernia.

can it happen to women?

The mesh repair have dramatically decreased the recurrence rate,(1-2% in dedicated surgeon’s hands), instead the the hernia mesh repair can lead toward a inguinal acute pain (early postoperative), and chronic pain (some months after repair). The cumulative rate of groin pain range from 5 to 25 % of cases. Most of them are mild to moderate, in about 5-10% of them is high or very high.

I am considering having this done! I have read many blogs with many people having problem with the plastic. Can you give me some reassurance that this is the way to go? How many problem have you seen with the hernia mesh. I have heard that it deteriorates, hardens and causes nerve damage and worse! Thank you.

Thank you for the question.
The possibility that you’ll get impotent after surgery are quite imppossible.
You have a little (1-2 %)possibility to get a severe neuralgya so called “inguinodynia”. This very high neuralgya can affect the erectile penis function and the ejaculation, but are very very few cases.
Slow down, easy, ask your Doctor about this. Good Luck

The percentage of recurrency, for the prosthetic repair, is about 1 %. the real problem actually is the discconfort that can occour (modreate to high in 5-10% of cases.
