my infant has a hard growth on nose?

Question: I have a 4 month old son who has a round hard growth on the side of his nose/ corner of his eye. I’ve noticed it about 2 weeks ago and it has gotten bigger. I took him to his primary care physician and he blatantly told me he doesn’t know what it is and we should just monitor it… I want to see a specialist but I don’t know what this would be classified as. I don’t know what specialist I should see. Please help!

You should see a dermatologist. That is the specialist you are looking for. Ask your dr. to refer you.

Well… at least your Doctor was honest about not knowing what it is. But “Monitor it” ??? I’d be interviewing new pediatricians pronto.

You need to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist who will be able to confirm whether or not it is anything to worry about. Some Doctors need a good slap, what an awful attitude….if he doesn’t know what it is then refer you onto to someone who does! Good luck and don’t leave it, your son is depending on you to get it sorted out for him.

Try a dermatologist, they special in skin.
