Medical Info?
By
Question: I just recently got health insurance at work. I really need to see a dr sometime soon, as I haven’t been since I was around 13. I’m 22 now. My question is, I have NO idea where any of my medical files/info is, as I have no clue who my past dr was. Do I need this information when I find a new dr. ?

No, just explain your situation.

no you do not need any of your prior medical info unless you had something seriously wrong with you. When finding a new dr. they will ask you to fill out some paper work that asks you about your current health and anything that may run in your family.
fyi: a lot of health insurances allow you to find a doctor online

try asking your folks. see if they remember anything from when you where a kid. You really shouldn’t need the paper work but going back to the school to get immunization records and getting any medical history from the parents would help.
