herniated c678 4 years ago becoz of poor sleeping habit* (high pillows).Month of extreme pain on my right arm and eventually lost muscles around that area.Pain was gone after taking steroids( prednisone) and therapy.Never played basketball again but wanna see my neurologist and ask sdvice coz i miss sports a lot nowadays.I read that surgery wont do the job because its gonna reccur after 3 years. Why remove the whole disc when its the fluid and the nerve it struck is the culprit?

I love the music. Its so inspiring. Helped me stay focused while learning the anatomy of the spine. Thank you very much.

omgosh I know. Sneezing makes it bad. I find for me, laughing hurts really really bad. And yeah, the pain at night wakes me up from me sleeping the way I sleep. And I’m also a photographer and the weight of the camera around my neck messes it up and makes everything spasam :(

Hello, yes- I have problems with washing my hair because I can not fling back my head and I have very long hair. I am afraid of catching cold because sneezing makes it worse. I also have problem with sleeping at night – I am used to sleeping on side ( or hip) but now I cant sleep this way. If I sleep so Im not able to move my neck in the morning. I also cant carry heavy things. I have herniated disc C6/7 4,7mm and disc C4/5 2,6mm and disc C7/Th1 – 2,9mm. Im desperate because I cant work . eva

10

the music is a beautiful touch.

11

does washing your hair bother it? That activity makes my arm go numb for like 3 hours after. What things make it really bad for you?

12

hello, I understand your problem because I also have herniated intervertebral disc C6 and C7 and I am trying to hold on without surgery because one my friend went through surgery and then he had reoperation and now he is preparing for new reoperation. I am from Czech Republic ( thats why my english is bad but I hope you will be able to understand) and doctors dont know any other alternative treatment than operation. I worked as profesional trainer and I was injured by masseur. Eva

I still have yet to try acupuncture. I’m going for round 3 of PT though later in the month. They do the TENS system on me. I get some relief with that. I also have a Saunders Traction unit at home. Not the over the door kind, the one where you lay down. Thank you for your concern and suggestions :)

I have been teaching the Alexander Technique for over 18 years. At last I’ve got an easy & direct way of showing my clients what is–or should be–going on at the top of their spines. Now they’ll be able to understand more readily why they experience comfort so quickly. Thank you, animators, for this beautiful and comprehensible work. AlexTech teacher in Santa Fe NM/USA

are you sure there’s “no doubt”? if is any doubt plz consider looking into movement reeducation (Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais) + pain management approaches including acupuncture, micro-current energy stimulation, etc. people rarely have only one spine surgery in their lives. best of luck. I have a herniated disc in my C6 and C7. There’s no doubt I need surgery, I’m just holding off as long as possible. I got into a car accident last November and have been in pain everyday since
