Well, I didn’t have that done, but I had neck surgery last year – I had numbness for several months – the area started out big and went down and down until it was normal.
I believe it’s completely normal to have numbness after any surgery – in the area you had it. They have to move and work around nerves – the swelling of those nerves makes them numb or even worse, painful. Also, they probably injected you with a numbing agent that will last a few days to keep the pain and swelling down – I’ve read that this is common in facial surgeries.
Try a straw instead of a cup. And wear a napkin until you get the hang of it. You will be ok soon, and you’ll be so happy with how you look.
Revovery from any surgery is daunting, but it’s usually worth it in my experience.

yes, it will be numb for around several weeks more. sometimes it takes about month before you would really be able to feel your lips competely. this is because:
1. longer effect of the anesthetic the surgeon used.
2. complete healing of the nerve that has been anesthesized so you won’t feel a thing during surgery.

Hope this helps. Godd luck!
