Is Government Health Care Too Expensive?
By
Description: With the release of the Congressional Budget Office’s report regarding the cost of health care reform, many people are claiming health care reform is too expensive. They focus only on the government costs while ignoring the private market savings. Once private market savings are accounted for health care reform is much cheaper, and if done right (fully socialized) actually saves money. My analysis of the costs of the comparative costs between the US system and socialized systems: www.youtube.com

I don’t see how you would get worse health care. The higher taxes are offset by the savings in your private spending on health insurance and care. And if you look at it, gov run systems from around the world are more efficient than private health insurance here.

So….. someone saves a little money, I get worse heathcare and higher taxes, and the government gets more control and keeps being corrupt and wasteful.
Great plan, I like it

Agreed.
We may have been able to cure cancer, or send humans to mars for what we spent on the Iraq war….
Add to that, the AIG bailout,….sad

what really blows my mind is the fact that these idiots screaming healthcare reform will cost too much are the same people that had no problem with george bush getting a blank check for the iraq war.

A healthy population can also provide stimulus for the economy through the increased capacity of citizens, especially of the working class, to maintain a health status that allows them to put forth the energy to create and make the things that keep the economy rolling.

I’m with you. Extremely disappointed at the health care we’re going to get **even if** Obama is successful. Medi-Care for all was the way to go with this.
And the funny thing is – I fucking guarantee you that once the wingnuts actually **had** Medi-Care for 3 or 4 years – you’d be able to take their guns away before they’d let you take their Medi-Care card. Guaran-fuckin’-teed.

Life is precious.
I’ll even grant that it is too expensive, however, this is a conflation of wealth and worth.
It reality doesn’t matter how much it cost, the living should not be stolen of their breath for want or supposed need of greed.
Moreover, alls one would have to do to see that something like universal health care is worth is cast, is to ask what they would have done to them. Applying their answer across the baord to other humans would BE universal health care by definition.

By the way, assuming that the US gov committed a bad deed against another country, should the US gov apologize for it?
