Is anyone out there a medical or dental assistant Could tell me what your day is like?

Question: I am currently taking medical dental assiting classes through PCDI I’m sure you probably have heard it on tv. I will be finished with the course next year around the summer and I was wondering what the typical day is like for a medical or a dental assistant and if the job is enjoyable.

Well I worked as both a medical and dental assistant~
Medical Assistant:
Depending on which type of Dr you work for..but for me was
Take patients vital signs
Get them in the room ready to be seen by Dr
Set up and break down rooms
Call new prescriptions/refills into pharmacies for patients
My advice don’t work for a Dr that will make you do alot of secretarial things
Dental Assistant
Set up rooms for patient based on procedure
Do mouth xrays
Assist dentist with hands on procedures
Do impressions
Clean sanitize rooms and tools
Some charting
I definitly liked medical assisting better..and just make sure you like the Dr or dentist you work for, some can be real mean! Trust me~
