I am 3 doctors coming over for dinner. What should I fix for dinner and dessert?
By
Question: My mom had a surgery and her doctors was wonderful and they saved my mothers life and I am having a welcome home dinner for her and the doctors, and I want something nice and elegant. I was thinking a standing rib roast, but I don’t know; maybe redfish. Can anyone help!!!! What about dessert? I was thinking banana foster, or cream cheese pound cake with ice cream and cooked fruit.

Dunno about the entree, but dessert is easy…have canned peach or pear halves (2 or 3 to a plate), top it with either sweetened whipped cream or Cool Whip and a sprinkling of either cinnamon or nutmeg…healthy, quick and delish!

Hmmm. Rib roast is fine. You could also do something classic like steak, salad and then dessert. I make an easy salad that has gotten a lot of compliments:
But Bananas Foster sound just as good.
2 cups leafy greens (I like using endives and radicchio, but you can use any lettuce.
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup diced pecan halves
Drizzle with fresh lime and garnish with fresh cracked black pepper. (Adjust the portions of all ingredients to suit the number of people in your party.)
As for dinner–I’ve never met a doctor who doesn’t like plain old chocolate cake. And, believe me, I know a lot of doctors from having worked in healthcare!
Good luck. I’m really glad your mom is okay.

Whatever you do don’t mess up this chance to land a doctor! You need to find out ahead of time what it is the doctors like to eat. You need to enlist some help for the labour in the kitchen, but preferably not someone who might try to compete with you for the docs affections. Make sure you dress saucy, but not too saucy! Practice bending way over the table to assist the doctor and make sure you show a respectable yet acceptable amount of cleavage. No nipple show! Or not too much. Save that for the private whipped cream fight later that night!

Find out what is Doctor’s choices and pick up from a nice restaurant, if you don’t have time to cook. Add your specialty of dish with it. Artichoke dip and chips for biting with drink.
Serve cheese cake with fresh fruits on the top such as strawberries or Quiwies slices(fresh). This is the season for it. If you go to Albersons grocery store, they have backed chocalate chip cookie pizza. I served with slices of fresh strawberries. All my friends like it.

Prepare a traditional family favorite. A standing rib roast or salmon sounds delish! With a doctor’s hours they probably don’t get a home cooked meal often. If they do it’s probably something that came from the microwave or take out. They will appreciate your efforts.
For dessert have both a regular dessert and a sugar free dessert option. Also have 2 vegetable choices. I suggest Asparagus as one.
