How successful is removing of brain lesions?

Well I’m not an expert, but I think it probably depends on the kind of cancer. my mom had bone cancer that spread to her brain, they removed the 3 tumors she had, and they didn’t grow back, but new ones did form, probably because of the bone cancer. They gave her 9 months and she lived 2 years, just passed away November 8. apparently, if not for the bone cancer, she would have been fine after they removed the brain tumors.
