How do the obese get the nerve to criticize smokers?
By
Question: Being that obesity is now the number one killer in the US.
Obese as in 20 percent over their ideal weight(medicinenet.com)
BTW: I don’t dislike obese people and I do not smoke. Just trying to see past/through the contradictions of our society in the medical sense.

You can die from second hand smoke. You can’t die if an obese person gets near you.

You are free to do anything! Untill I get you in law process! Then you will shut up! Not talking about you!

They shouldn’t say anything to a smoker unless the smoker is infringing on the obese person’s rights to be in an non-smoke area.

the same way anyone has any nerve to criticize anyone else…the feeling of superiority…you have it now, do you not??

Im not obese but I am a smoker. Obesity isnt inherently toxic to anyone besides the obese person. Us smokers do produce 2nd hand smoke…..therein the problem lies

It’s become politically correct to condemn smokers. It’s ok to hurt smoker’s feelings, but heaven help you if you hurt an obese person’s feelings. I personally try not to come down on anyone, but that’s not the popular view.

because obesity does not kill others, only themselves. Im neither a smoker nor obese. I i hate the smell of smoke and i sure dont like second hand smoke and i have watched people die of lung cancer, and that was not a pretty sight at all.

obesity only affects the person, while smokers affect the health of other people as well as themselves.

Because my overeating affects only me.
Yet others smoke harms more than themselves.

FAT people do this to lessen their own indulgences and make them appear not as life threatening.

Let me just say nobody has the right to criticize anyone.
PS not fat and don’t smoke but would never criticize anyone for who they are or what they do.

Many people have weight issues because of health problems or medicines containing steroids. No one forced a smoker to smoke. Also, the behavior of the smoker affects many more people who also do not have a choice in the matter-everyone has to breathe.

It is really a race to the bottom!

Smoking not only kills the person doing it but the people around them… I’ve never heard of death by 2nd-hand obesity!!!!

1. Smokers kill people other than just themselves
2. It is impossible for people to stop eating. You can quit smoking and your quality of life will improve.

I quit smoking after 40 years……I am now getting obese because I eat so as not to smoke……Personally, I don’t criticize anyone….I just pray for us all!

We don’t see ourselves as others see us.

I have a really fat friend who gets really upset when she has to walk by smokers who are smoking in front of business entrances. Her being fat doesnt hurt me or you only her. But when a smoker puts themselves in an area where we have to breathe the smoke just to get by it affects everyone who walks by. Because second hand smoke is very bad and smoke stinks.

I guess because smoking is a little more optional than becoming obese. Everyone I know who smokes, a) started from their own choice and b) wants to give up! The difference is that I know no one who wants to be obese, but everyone I do know wants to give it up.
Perhaps it is because they realise how terrible it is to do something bad to your body like becoming obese or smoking and they just want people who have a choice to say no. That’s the only counter argument to your point that I can think of. But for all the people who became obese through not caring or (deliberate) lack of exercise, well I think that is no better or worse than starting smoking.

The same way that a thin person may criticize an obese person. Do you feel that you are a better human being than the smoker or the obese? Maybe you are better than the deaf because you can hear and they cannot. Critical people are nothing more than high horse riders.

You can not survive with out food but you can with out cigarettes.
You can also kill someone with second hand smoke along with yourself. No one that I have ever heard of has died from being around someone who is over weight…
So drop the ciggie and pick up a lolly pop…

How do the obese get the nerve to criticize smokers?
Ahaha
There are not many targets to criticize any longer with correctness being a concern.
Everyone is so sensitive.
Smokers are still fair game though.
Fat folks have glandular or some other valid
concern that causes them to be obese so they say.Never mind the mass quantities of food they
consume, go figure.
Have a pleasant day.
