High blood pressure and having breast augmentation surgery?
By
Question: I am having breast augmentation surgery in June and I have high blood pressure is it safe and what are the risk to consider. I’m really nervous. I am taking medication but the surgeon said I will have to get a release from my doctor.

Well, you sure have to tell the doctor. As far as I know there’s no problem if you take the medication and keep it under control, because the instruments used in surgery will tell the doctor your blood pressure. On the other hand if you have high blood pressure in your eyes (glaucoma) and you’re having a surgery in there it will be very dangerous.
