Eye Skin Care

It is well known that the skin is the largest human organ. Although it is large and connected it still varies in sensitivity. The hands and feet are much more resilient for example than the face and neck. One of the most sensitive areas of skin on the body is just under the eyes. Because of this it must be well cared for to ensure that is stays healthy and fresh and to reduce the risk of bags and wrinkles. 

  

The skin around the eyes is not as thick as even other areas on the face. It is also more susceptible to dryness. Because it has a lot less fat cushioning, it is more likely to suffer from puffiness.  

  

The eye area can often give away a person’s age as this is one of the first areas to suffer from wrinkles and lines. For those wanting to maintain a healthy youthful look, it is very important that the eyes are a key priority for them.


There are many methods for eye care which include; 

  

Getting enough sleep – It is important to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. This can drastically reduce the occurrence of dark rings and bags. 

Use an eye cream – There are many different effective eye creams on the market. Careful application of an eye cream daily can assist in maintaining youthful skin around the eyes. 

Drink water – Maintaining good levels of hydration will reduce the potential for the skin to dry out especially around the eyes. 

Try not to rub eyes – As the skin is thinner and more sensitive, rubbing the eyes can increase the onset of bags and wrinkles. 

Cucumbers – Placing sliced cucumbers over the eyes can reduce the development of dark circles. 

Avoid wearing contact lenses for extended durations – Wearing contact lenses for long periods of time can cause extra strain on the eyes.
