Dr. Lisa needs to give up her practice as an OB doctor. If she doesnt know basic things such as stats that breast feeding is best 2 years or longer if the mother and baby want to continue she needs to go back to school or do some research in her field! She blurts out her opinion instead of giving resources answers and I feel that doctors like her prevent our country from having great birth and breastfeeding experiences and thoughts.

Dr. Lisa is some Doctor.I mean c’mon the L.C. …explains it perfectly. & why wouldnt you want to give your child the best? I just cant believe how idiotic some people really are and shes educated! Its our right as women and Mothers & its our duty to do everything we can for our child and if i know my son will benefit from some extended breastfeeding then thats what we will do! Im a VERY PROUD mother of an 11 mo old..who is still happily breastfeeding and we will go until he is ready to STOP!

She sure is. I cant stand her. Her weave is bad and her knees are knobby. She is very hard on the eyes in addition to being a complete imbecile.

Dr Lisa is a complete idiot. i am so glad to see two wonderful lactation consultants, as well as the pediatrician promoting human milk for human children. Dr Lisa should be kicked off.

Dr. Lisa should do her research before jumping in to “take a stand”. Had she read any of the current research available to her, she might have understood that the age span presented is relative to the child in question- if she felt pressured to encourage her child to “separate” too soon, she shouldn’t just pass that pressure on to other well-meaning mothers. She owes her patients objective information based on facts, and she apparently needs to get her facts straight!

They should know how many viewers they’ve lost because of her idiocy. I cannot stand her and I think she’s dumber than a box of hair.

I just loved this piece and SO glad that Dr. Lisa was proven other wise (I don’t like her and this just extended my dislike for her). I wish they would have used the term full term nursing, instead of extended nursing, becasue the lengths of nursing they are talking about are natural. Way to go Dr. Sears, I wish you lived in my area so my kids could see you!

ok, while 7 may be a little on the old side, I think that the U.S. is shockingly behind the rest of the world in terms of nursing children. Dr. Lisa needs to get over her own hang-ups and prejudices. Nursing is NOT a sexual act, nor are children held back from independence by extended nursing. Many cultures pomote this. What’s wrong with us? As a culture the U.S. is entirely too sexualized, so even a loving, normal, nurturing act has become perceived as odd or somehow perverted. Sad.

Dr. Lisa is the biggest idiot. They should kick her off the show. Seriously. I would watch the show if she weren’t on it.
