Do you think it is wrong to have sex with someone for money if you need the money for eye surgery?

Question: I dont have any insurance and I am in need of surgery. I cant work because I take care of my parents and the only way I know to have this surgery is to spend time with a guy for money. Please dont write me mean things and tell me this is prostitution. I have searched and there is no charities that can help me with this problem. If anyone knows another way I could make this happen please tell me because I dont want to do it this way but I seem to have no choice. The surgery I need to have is eye surgery.

I’m betting if you put as much effort into finding a charity or source from the hospital financial office to help fund this as you did trying to justify it, you wouldn’t have to.
That being said; it’s your life, your body, your decision.

i have said it a million times…….a woman’s body is hers to do with as she sees fit.. it is not the government or the Church’s place to impose rules on a woman’s body……

If you yourself have no problem with it, I don’t think it is a bad option. A lot of people do things like this every day. Sometimes it is the only way they can and know how to make money. I hope you find the answer you’re looking for and good luck with the surgery!

You already know that what you are asking about is wrong. Why cant you get any type of medical assistance. If you dont have insurance and you take care of your parents you should qualify. But dont take the money for sex. It is morally wrong, but not only that you would have to live with that for a long time. Do what you think is best. Try your county department and ask them if you qualify for any kind of assistance, if you have no other option, your eye sight is by far more important than getting money for sex.

Since you have answered your own question, go ahead, there is nothing wrong with whatever you do given your situation.
Calling you names and abusing is easy, just how many have come forward offering help after reading what you have written, and that too knowing it is wrong but unavoidable?
Dont pay any attention to the snide remarks, you will be getting them by the dozens. It is you to decide what is best for you at this moment.
Desperation drives a person to do things they dont like. You need the money for surgery. So far as you dont beg or steal, its ok. Please keep searching for social service organizations who help in such matters, may be you will get lucky.

You should contact your local health department to see if you are eligible for state assistance. If you take care of your parents, you could qualify as a primary care giver and possibly qualify for Medicaid.
Using protitution as a way to get money is a bad idea. You are putting your health and possibly your life at risk. Let’s just say that if you act in such an irresponsible matter, you won’t need that eye surgery.
Programs are available for assistance. Ask your doctor. good luck.

It is illegal, but if you are cool with the moral and physical implications and have no other resource, go for it. What you do is between you and any god you might believe in, not all the so-called Christians on here judging you. I doubt any of them would come down from their high horses and put their money together to help you.

Sex for money (except when you have it with your husband) is prostitution. I’m sorry but that’s just the way it is.
Have you tried contacting the SS administration to see if you might be eligible for SSI, Medicaid/Medicare? Have you contacted the hospital where surgery will be performed, sometimes they have a list of agencies that can provide a little assistance.
But if you’ve exhausted all the social/public/private agencies that could provide assistance…well, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, so don’t worry about what people may think (especially around here), if they aren’t going to chip in and pay for the necessary surgery, then who are we to judge.

Well, and I say this gently, having sex for money in order to have an operation is a form of prostitution. The greater question is prostitution in this case wrong? I would have to say that it for you and not for me to decide.
If you feel that it is wrong, can you live with the consequences of getting your surgery this way? If so, then fine. If not, then I guess you’ll have to find another way to get it. Good luck to you either way.

Yes it is wrong……..
Instead of thinking this is the only way why not try talking to doctors to find one that will do it for a lower cost or one that will do it and you can pay him back over time.
