Did you know that embryonic stem cells have produced no cures only cancerous tumors?
By
Question: However, adult stem cells have produced 70 viable cures.

Embryonic stem cell research was not stopped it just didn’t receive government funding. And the overwhelming majority of the results from embryonic stem cell research has been cancerous tumors.

Yes. People will try to say that we are just starting to study Embryonic stem cells but that isn’t the truth.

Adult stem cell cures are over 100, I am 99% sure.
Aside from the ethics, we are better off putting the research money into PROVEN cures that WORK.
Even further, imagine you need stem cell therapy to cure a disease or injury. Well, you are not an embryo anymore. The only cells that are a genetic match to you are your own adult stem cells.

From a faith-based website.
When will you kids learn that science is not religion.
“Citizens for Science and Ethics is a 501(c)4 established in 2005 to oppose the use of public funds for experimentation
that involves the destruction of a live human embryo and
to educate the legislators and general public on
ethical and viable biomedical research alternatives”
Way to do your research.

Did you know that embryonic stem cell research is only now beginning receiving funding anywhere near the levels devoted to adult stem cell research? Also that no one has yet developed a totipotent adult stem cell? It would be preferable if they did but for now adult stem cells do not yet have the full potential of embryonic stem cells.

There should be no federal funding unless there has been be beneficial results that could help provide a cure, many clinics and research operations, go on donations from donors and do not rely on tax money that could be used for something that would help the economy turn around.
If adult stem cells, are producing results then they should be provided tax money for their research, and if not, they should be cut off, many of these programs do nothing but drain money from resources that can be used for other programs.
There are enough cancerous causing materials, without having it created in a lab, that could infect harmless people.

Because I’m pretty sure your government outlawed the research.
If you allowed it,maybe you’d find more cures

Duh. If we already knew what we can with embryonic stem cells we wouldn’t NEED to do research.

You guys who believe this must LOVE Nadia Suleman and her litter, eh?

nirv the Bush administration never outlawed any stem cell research they just refused to fund embryonic cell research. Any company could pursue research as long as they funded it themselves. Adult stem cells were govt. funded because they have always been the viable route to achieve positive results.
