Cheap Heart worm testing and prevention medicine for dogs?

Question: I have a dog that has never been tested for heart worm or has taken heart worm medicine but I feel the need to get her tested but since I am only 14 and my parents wont pay for a vet visit I’m on my own. If you know any place where I could take my dog for a free or very cheap heart worm test & prevention medicine please feel free to contact me via email. My dog’s heath is very important to me. Most large pet store chains have low cost vet clinics. You can check their website for dates & times, some even have a schedule of fees. Kudos to you for having a sense of responsibility to your pets that you obviously weren’t taught at home.
