Can someone show me one instance of a Liberal proclaiming “free health care”?
By
Question: I have heard this called many names, including “universal health care”, “Single payer health care”, but never “free health care”, yet I hear people on here constantly telling me what i already know: it is not free. Duh. Doesn’t mean it isn’t right.
Can someone please point out an instance of someone asking for “free health care”? I want to see this with my own eyes. Thanks!

It isn’t free health care because somebody has to pay. You don’t have to write a check to attend public school but someone has to pay for that too.

Again, none of ‘liberals’ called for it – but they should’ve. In this respect US is in the stone age behing Canada, Sweden , Finland etc , thanks to moron repugs with their redneck slaves and cowards liberals…
Funny thing, 99% of repugs are poor rednecks that need this more than anybody else , end yet they keep fighting it – that is called ’slave mentality’ – kiss the opressor’s but…”Senor magoo” is a good example of one..

Those are leftist policies, Obama is center right in the universal political spectrum
Theres nothing wrong with it, Britain has social healthcare and in terms of the quality of healthcare they are well off.
USA s not the top when it comes to healthcare the right wing crazies dont know their nation is behind South Korea and Cuba in healthcare quality

Medicaid is free health care. It’s just another form of welfare.

I think many believe it will be free to them and paid for by… fill in the blank. By the time reality closes in enough that their short sightedness is dispelled I’m afraid it will be too late.

That’s been our argument for years! You dems promise new programs all the time to buy votes. Health care will be “free” to the poor since they won’t pay any taxes. The rich will be subsidizing everyone’s health care now. In other words, dems like you will have free health care courtesy of hardworking Americans.
Government run health care = free health care for millions.

“Universal” health care is a euphemism for “free health care”
Since people with no money get it for free.
It really means “paid for by the taxpayers”

I’ve heard some people use the term “free healthcare” all the time here on Y!A.and on TV. Just pull-up any older question on the topic, and you’ll see at least one responder using that term. It’s all over the place.

It’s obviously NOT free. It takes A LOT of tax money to run these programs.

Yes I can, son. Look at this site. There will be at least 4 postings in the next 2 days decrying why don’t we have “free health care.”
The problem with the government sponsored health care is it leads to Rationing. It has everywhere else.

i work in billing in a large healthcare corporation and occasionally have to have contact with patients about their billing.
last week i was on the phone with a patient trying to figure out which company to bill first and when we figured it out she said the following to me:
“i pay $1,100.00 a MONTH for insurance that is my secondary insurance (secondary to medicare).”
$1,100.00 a month for coinsurance and deductibles.
universal healthcare would be a huge SAVINGS to our nation.

No, it won’t be free. But America needs a far better plan regarding health care. Every 30 seconds, someone in this country goes bankrupt because of medical expenses.
There are several types of plans on the table. Universal health care that ensures every American has access regardless of the specific system to achieve it.
Then there is Public Health insurance which includes Medicare, Medicaid and Schip, the Vet’s program and some state programs. Care is subsidized by federal or state or both.
Then there is socialized medicine which is a single-payer system which the government owns and runs the health care system (which is how the VA is currently run.)
I’m in favor of Universal Health Care – and that anyone 50 and above is covered under Medicare with a supplemental insurance.
What we have now is way out of control and does not work. It’s got to change and the sooner, the better!
Anyone with insurance is, as of now, paying $1100 a year to take care of those without insurance.
We’re all going to pay but I believe our premiums will be far less costly and far more cost effective than the system that is in place now.
