Usually, when we have any pain caused by any accident, we do not feel relaxed, and the results is Stress and anxiety about our health state. May be simple yoga and deep breathing exercises will make you more confident, and relaxed. Here is a good free yoga e-course with many good insights, try it: http://www.yoga-health-beauty-energy.com

Yes I think you are correct. I suffered an injury at work and had severe pain and I developed cardiac arrhythmia's and hypertension which were so severe I was eventually referred to a cardiologist. Also some of the medications that were prescribed for me caused me to have a rapid heart rate. Pain greatly interferes with sleep causing your heart rate to increase also. I strongly believe that stress does not cause these symptoms, stress just makes them worse.Take care,Donna

of course acute pain can raise blood pressure and pulse, they are two of the markers for severity in assessing pain. However, if you have an elevated blood pressure and high heart rate when your pain is controlled with pain medications, then no, the pain is not responsible for the elevation and you have other health issues.
