Can an eye examination detect neurological abnormalities such as a brain tumour?

There is a study that folk healers have that uses the eyes to see what all is wrong with the body. I don’t know if it works, but I do know that the eye is filled with an incredible amount of nerve endings and blood vessels. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if the eye displays symptoms for all kinds of neurological and cardiovascular ailments.

Absolutely, the brain is a closed system and when a tumor grows it takes up more space than it should. As a result, the pressure inside the brain increases. As far as the eye goes, it is connected to the brain by the optic nerve that insert at the back of the eye and can be seen with an ophthalmoscope. When the pressure inside the brain increases, it can cause swelling of the optic nerve alerting the doctor to a problem.
Additionally, many tumors can cause changes in a person side vision. Eye doctors can use side vision tests that can screen for that problem as well. Hope this has helped
