Can a woman on Medicaid (health care for welfare recipients) get coverage for fertility drugs?

By Editor

Question: I was wondering because, my wife and I really want a baby. She’s thinks she might be infertile because we’ve been trying for five years now, and we’re still childless.

Unfortunately NO she cannot get the fertility treatment for free. It will not cover it. It will cover the doctor visit and some check ups but not the medicine. It sux because the medicine is extreemly expensive

Not for nothing, but if you receive for Medicaid the government isn’t going to pay for what they would consider “medically unnecessary expenses” so that you and your wife could have children that may be on Medicaid themselves. It sucks, but that’s the way it is right now, that’s how the government works.

I really wish the both of you the best of luck.

If you need to be on medicaid why the hell would the government think you could afford a baby.
