Question: I am in my first semester in college and am a prenursing student. I hope by spring 2011 i will be starting my community colleges registered nursing program. I am trying to get a part time job and i was wondering if i could work at a doctors office or medical clinic like cleaning up, filing papers, answering phones and so on. Is this possible?

It is possible. I work in a doctor’s office and one of my co-workers is a college student. She works part time.

There are many hospital hiring students for coop study. Your college, or university must have a “job board” where you can find list of employer hiring for your filed. Also, you can just called the hospitals, ask for human resource, and talk to them, it is called “cold calling”.
Good luck

lots of hospitals like to have college students who are training for nursing. You might begin with volunteering at a local hospital and put in an application stating you are a nursing student interested in volunteering and would be interested in part time work in the hospital. Try doctors offices but with the economy, no one is hiring much.
