general hepatobiliary (HPB) surgical disease. At the conclusion of the 2008 Annual Meeting of the American Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (AHPBA), the association expects its attendees to
have gained knowledge and skills that will lead to changes or enhancements in their own practices and improve physician training.
The AHPBA was inaugurated on November 12, 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. It has grown from a handful of surgeons interested in HPB surgery to a membership of more than 400 today. It has become the American chapter of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA). The society
has annual meetings each year and has participated in consensus conferences and PG courses.
Join a group of hundreds of doctors who share your goals and passions of raising the standard of care for patients with diseases affecting the liver pancreas and biliary system. The AHPBA is an organization where you can exchange your ideas, concerns and enthusiasm with other doctors, who have your interest in common.
